VCREDIST
Can you please tell me the required VCREDIST build? Will v14.40 be sufficient? Thanks.
Re: VCREDIST
Hello.
It should work, but you do not need to worry about this. It is installed with DGK redistributable and the main product. The installer makes sure the PC has the correct version.
In v7.4 it is v14.44.35208.0. Earlier versions install whatever is needed also.

Thanks, Nick. We cannot use your installer as it always puts the files in C:\Projects regardless of where I define a custom install folder. So, we made our own that works great. I would have expected it to maybe use something like "Program Files\Common Files" as the default.

Hmm. We will look into this. Thanks

Re: VCREDIST
If I may, allow me to suggest a folder strategy for your consideration. It's intent:
32-bit
C:\Program Files (x86)\DynoInsight\DG Kernel 7.3\Bin\
64-bit
C:\Program Files\DynoInsight\DG Kernel 7.3\Bin\
C:\Program Files\DynoInsight\DG Kernel\7.4\Bin\
I don't think there would be conflict with CLSIDs between 64-bit 7.3 and 7.4. Package 7.3 as combined or bit-separate merge module(s). This would greatly help our development efforts as we move between 32/64 bitness and 7.3 to 7.4.
Thanks for your consideration.
- Clear 32/64-bit separation
- Allow retention of 7.3 for 32/64 development and "cohabitation" with 7.4 as we migrate from 7.3 to 7.4
